Glossy Box. No1

My first subscription to Glossy Box came today - I must admit, was very over excited. For £12.95 inc p&p, you recieve a box of 5 of the latest beauty products, beautifully wrapped in tissue paper, with a gorgeous bow and Glossy Box sticker. I was more made up with the box's presentation than I was the contents of the box if I'm honest. I recieved 3 samples of Dermalogica Age Smart products - which are usually very expensive and therefore I have saved a great deal, but Age Smart products aren't really useful for me as I'm only 17 and any dramatic age renewal would leave me looking like a toddler, but will give them a go and see if they do anything for me.

I also recieved a Dermalogica beauty bag to store them in, Stila smudge proof eyeliner in a gorgeous emerald green colour, a bottle of Leighton Denny nail polish in an ocean blue colour - very excited to try that out, and 3 Robert Piguet perfume samples. If I said 'perfumes your Nan would wear that give you a headache' would you know what I meant, because that's the best way I can describe them, and for £65.00 a bottle (WTF) it's not something I'm going to hurry up and buy.

Overall I would give this box a 6/10 as I have nothing else to compare it to. I am going to look in to other beauty box subscriptions and see what I can find, as I feel Glossy box is a bit...hit and miss. I would probably only use the polish and eyeliner from this box, which for £10.00 isn't really a great deal? If you are keen to subscribe then go ahead, the website is

  1. Really detailed review ! Been considering glossy box for a while!

  2. I love your honesty! Looks like fun to get a box of beauty each month though!

  3. I so wish we had something like this over here, but it's too bad that the products weren't that great. There's something called Boudoir Privet which seems to be pretty similar, maybe you'll have better luck with that? Love your blog by the way!
